Mustafa Alnounou, MD, FACP, FACG

After earning his medical degree at Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria, Dr. Alnounou completed his gastroenterology residency at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.

He also completed fellowship training in clinical gastroenterology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis and advanced therapeutic endoscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Additionally, Dr. Alnounou finished a fellowship in transplant hepatology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Digestive Health Clinic is fully equipped with advanced endoscopic ultrasound and upper endoscopy technologies. Dr. Alnounou also provides colonoscopy services for diagnostic evaluations and as part of his preventive colon cancer screenings. He performs many diagnostic procedures and surgical treatments on an outpatient basis.
